Recorder Karate Idea Bank

My students love Recorder Karate, especially when they can show off which belt they are on. All the students on my campus have to wear a badge on their shirt collar. I thought it would be cool if they could wear their Recorder Karate belts on their badge as well. I decided to use beads and pipe cleaners. I found a large kit of different colored beads from our local store and cut pipe cleaners in half. When students pass their first belt, I give them a pipe cleaner and their white bead. They put the pipe cleaner through the bead and twist the pipe cleaner through their badge clip. That way it doesn't fall off during P.E. or recess.
